Requirements

Previous experience in a college, residential, or similar environment
Experience working with students in a mentoring or support role
Strong administrative and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

Job Responsibility

Supporting students with planning and implementation of engaging enrichment programmes
Ensuring physical safety of students while promoting a secure living environment
Working closely with a caseload of students to develop essential life skills for independence
Liaising with various departments to support students' holistic wellbeing
Encouraging participation in college life from academics to extracurricular activities
Conducting regular checks of residential areas and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Promoting safeguarding in all aspects of the college environment
Conducting nightly curfew checks and monitoring student welfare
Completing regular attendance and progress reports
Organising and facilitating enrichment activities that cater to student interests

Job Responsibility

Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all site staff, partners, and volunteers to create a nurturing, dynamic, and constructive environment for residents
take ownership for fostering a trauma-informed, home-like atmosphere where residents can feel safe and stable
Provide on-site resident supervision
support residents with crisis intervention and behavioral redirection
Maintain awareness of resident whereabouts (and line-of-sight supervision as necessary)
complete related documentation as required
Engage, support, and coach residents on healthy participation in the life of the home
educate residents on independent living skills, including but not limited to personal care and food preparation
Model positive behavior, communication, and coping skills using de-escalation, mediation, and problem-solving skills

Job Responsibility

Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting clients when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing and all other aspects of daily living
