This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing or support professional to play a key role in safeguarding vulnerable residents and helping them sustain their tenancies. You will manage a caseload of vulnerable residents, providing practical and emotional support to help them maintain stable and successful tenancies. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you will act as a safeguarding specialist and advocate for residents with complex needs.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a caseload of residents with complex or vulnerable needs, delivering tailored support plans
Make and follow up safeguarding referrals, working in partnership with local authorities and safeguarding teams
Support complex tenancy cases where vulnerability impacts issues such as ASB, repairs or tenancy sustainment
Liaise with external partners including social services, mental health teams, healthcare professionals and community organisations
Provide safeguarding advice and guidance to internal colleagues and support staff awareness
Signpost residents to financial, wellbeing and community support services
Contribute to tenancy sustainment initiatives and community engagement activities
Maintain accurate case records and monitor outcomes
Requirements:
Experience working with vulnerable residents within housing, support or social care
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice
Experience managing complex cases and working with multi-agency partners
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
A customer-focused approach with empathy and resilience
