Requirements

Bachelors of Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum at a four-year college.
Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures and principles
Ability to deal with abstract concepts during actual construction
Ability to understand and communicate technical specifications and literature with construction personnel
Ability and experience in applying strong communication skills to relay technical matters relating to the project to the Project Manager and/or Contractors both orally and in writing

Job Responsibility

Observe and review assigned construction projects for compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
Collect, maintain and organize construction documentation
Travel to construction project sites to provide field inspection, documentation and on-site representation for various water and wastewater projects.
Maintain strong client relationships as a company’s representative on the project site
Communicate between contractor/subcontractor, Owner/Client, third parties and engineering design team.
Verify design plan accuracy in the field
Consult with Contractors and Engineers regarding construction practices, construction reports, and engineering designs
Review changes in construction and materials specifications due to developments occurring during project construction with the Project Manager or Project Engineer
