Job Description:

Resident Engineers are 'hands-on,' providing operational support services that empower our customers to get the most from our industry-leading products. You will apply your technical knowledge to optimize customer networks, proactively mitigate risks, test and deploy new software and hardware, and delve into hot issues. The Resident Engineer will engage individually or as part of a more significant customer Network Operations Team.

Job Responsibility:

Provide operational support to all Juniper routing/security products within the Customer infrastructure
Troubleshoot equipment and network problems pertaining to Juniper hardware
Train customer's operational, implementation and support personnel
Pro-actively evaluate and audit customer network configurations, alarms and event logs
Facilitate weekly operations calls with customer
Partner with other Juniper Resident Engineers to develop best practices guidelines
Test patches and fixes to operating software
Assist with network inventory tracking
Assist the customer to develop Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures
Raise equipment Return Material Authorizations (RMAs)

Requirements:

Minimum 6 years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks
JUNOS CLI experience
Must have large-scale experience with Juniper hardware (MX and ACX products)
Experience with core routing BGP, OSPF, ISIS protocols
Experience with MPLS/RSVP, Segment routing, VPLS, Martini L2circuit, EVPN/MPLS and L3VPN
Experience with design and/or deployment of routing and switching products within the Customer infrastructure
Strong customer interface and presentation skills
Technical Certifications: JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, and CCIE a strong plus
Strength with Python and scripting languages
