Job Description:

The Resident Engineer provides dedicated technical support, implementation, and operational assistance for enterprise network products and solutions, ensuring customer network stability and performance. This role focuses on configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining wireless, routing, switching, and network management technologies, while working closely with the customer (on-site) to address their day-to-day technical needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support and problem resolution for assigned customer engagements, with a focus on Wireless, Routing & Switching, Network Management Platforms, and cloud-managed networking technologies
  • Assist customers with the integration and implementation of network tools and systems
  • Collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless support delivery
  • Support the execution of delivery projects by contributing to implementation and change management plans
  • Utilize software tools and automation platforms to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot network solutions
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers, acting as an embedded extension of their technical team
  • Understand customer pain points and identify opportunities for optimization, improvement, and value creation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience in network engineering or technical support
  • Strong practical experience with enterprise wireless networking solutions
  • Proficiency in routing and switching technologies and protocols
  • Experience with network management platforms (e.g., NMS, automation tools, or controller-based systems)
  • Familiarity with cloud-managed network solutions and dashboards
  • Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in Hungarian (written and spoken) is required

Nice to have:

  • Experience with network automation concepts and tools is desirable but not mandatory
  • Professional-level networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, ACMP, or equivalent)

  • Supervise construction on highway and/or roadway projects and provide quality assurance that completed work is in compliance with the plans and specifications
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to the project
  • Act as point of contact and coordinate directly with general contractor and negotiate change orders
  • Monitor progress against accepted construction schedule and review the Contractor’s progress reports. Assess the progress and inform the Project Manager and client in case of delay
  • Direct, assist and monitor the performance of Construction Inspection and Office Engineering staff
  • Oversee field site activities and provide technical advice on construction and design
  • Discuss deviations from specified construction materials and procedures with Engineer-In-Charge
  • Regularly review and approve contract submittals and payment applications to contractors
  • Participate in contract close-out activities
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with the contractor and appropriate personnel and report on any issues, as necessary
