As a Resident Engineer (Mechanical) at Aurecon, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations. You will play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure and building projects, including mission-critical facilities like data centres.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct inspections at site with Authorities, Operator, Contractor, Client, and other consultants
Attending site and authority meetings
Witness during testing and commissioning stage
Witness all tests on site, sign off and obtain the test results
Inspect and sign off all non-compliance reports issued for defective works
Coordinating and assisting the Design Office Team Leader/Project Engineer in the performance of site technical duties
Supervising subordinate resident site staff
Assist in progress payment certification
Assist to review Shop drawings based on actual site conditions
Assist to review and verify final as-built
Provide comments on Method of Statements, Material samples, and liaison with Engineer from HQ
Progress monitoring and verification of weekly and monthly reports submitted by the Contractor
To compile and submit monthly M&E site progress report to Design Office for review and record
Provide signature and/or IOW endorsement on Approved M&E As-Built Drawings submitted by contractors after the site verification
Attend to the delivery of vacant possession (handover) to client, resolve client’s complaints, and assist in the finalization of the final account with the Client/Contractor
Checking and signing off all deliveries, checking storage, and protection of Plant, Materials, and Equipment
Requirements:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Registered BEM
Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical supervision, preferably in industrial or institutional developments
Strong knowledge of Mechanical systems (fire, hvac, hydraulic, fuel, data centre, local constructions)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
AutoCAD and BIM knowledge preferred
Excellent communication and leadership skills
