As a Resident Engineer (Electrical) at Aurecon, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations. You will play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure and building projects, including mission-critical facilities like data centres.
Job Responsibility:
Providing engineering solutions to site issues and coordinating with electrical discipline leads
Reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
Monitoring electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved designs and standards
Coordinating inspections and testing of electrical systems and documenting results
Ensuring quality control and safety compliance on-site
Collaborating with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues
Verifying materials and equipment delivered to site meet project requirements
Maintaining accurate site records, reports, and progress documentation
Attending project meetings and supporting commissioning activities
Requirements:
A degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
Registration as a Resident Engineer with BEM
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical supervision, preferably in industrial or institutional developments
Strong knowledge of electrical systems in data centres, power distribution, and local construction practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
AutoCAD and BIM knowledge preferred
Excellent communication and leadership skills
