Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join a leading client engagement. As a Resident Engineer, you will act as an extension of the customer’s technical team, providing deep expertise in networking and Fortinet solutions. This is a dynamic role requiring strong hands-on skills, customer engagement, and advisory capabilities to support the ongoing development of secure network infrastructures.

Job Responsibility:

Serve as the dedicated technical point of contact for the customer
Work closely with the customer’s internal team as a trusted technical advisor
Provide knowledge transfer sessions and technical mentoring
Offer best practice recommendations and continuous improvement insights
Support customer projects through technical advisory and solution development
Assist with troubleshooting, incident resolution, migrations, and software upgrades
Contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive support and communication

Requirements:

Strong foundational knowledge of networking principles and protocols
Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet core products: FortiGate (Firewall solutions), FortiManager (Centralized device management), FortiAnalyzer (Security event analysis)
Solid experience in SD-WAN design and deployment
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, able to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Fluent in both German and English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

Practical knowledge of FortiProxy solutions
Additional certifications related to networking or Fortinet technologies are a plus
