Job Responsibility:
Assume full responsibility for all the campers in your cabin 24 hours a day, besides from assigned time off
Committed to making a positive impact in the lives of the kids we serve through teaching and participating in activities, social skills, and other aspects
Follow all camp policies and COVID-19 protocols in order to mitigate safety and health risks
Provide leadership trainees with formal evaluations to coach them on their developing leadership skills
Provide kids ages 7-17 exceptional programming and enriching life experiences through planning and executing activities
Work to ensure that all campers and staff feel included, welcomed, and safe at camp
Be a role model to campers and staff
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
one year of college education is preferred
First Aid, CPR, AED certified before the start of staff training
Must be able work outdoors for the majority of the day
Requires participation with and leadership of youth in a wide variety of physical activities
requires the ability to traverse the campgrounds on a frequent basis throughout the day
Good communication skills are required
must be able to interact with campers, parents, and co-workers
Must exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all aspects of work with the YMCA
