To ensure that quality services are provided to residents and their families. Working with residents and collaborating with staff so supportive relationships enhance the care provided. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring residents are treated with respect & dignity and encouraging independence as it relates to care for our Assisted Living/Memory Support Residents.
Job Responsibility:
Assists with schedules to ensure proper coverage
May lead and train new staff
Assures that medications are properly stored, medication carts/room are cleaned, organized and audited
Observes resident health status, takes actions to address concerns, and reports all significant changes
Communicate with doctors and enter orders when needed
Communicates with families as needed, regarding resident's personal needs and scheduled physician, dental, or eye appointments
Responsible for pendant and floor assignments, incident and shift reports, completion of task list and escalate to nurse manager or Director as needed
Ensure caregiver team members are informed with regular communication at shift change re: residents, community, and company news, information, activities, policies & procedures etc.
May serve as primary contact when Team Members are unable to work and assist in locating alternative resources
Help identify staffing needs & assist with the hiring process
Performs monthly safety and infection control checks and reports back to the Nursing Manager
Coordinates ancillary medical services such as podiatrist, doctor visits, psych visits, labs, x-ray, ambulance, etc. are scheduled
Maintains knowledge of relevant facility, state and federal rules and regulations, policies and procedures
Participates and may facilitate training and meetings
Coordinates schedules of caregivers and CNA's with Nurse Manager
Performs other duties as designated by the Nurse Manager and/or Director

Requirements:
Must be a certified caregiver in AZ
Prior experience working in an AL/MS senior community a must
Prefer 3-5 years of caregiver experience in AL/MS senior lifestyle community
Comfortable using a computer for basic tasks
Experience working with work schedules
Possess current or has the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required
Possess current or can obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required
