Job Description

Resident Building Services Engineer to join our team and ensure the effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across our sites.

Job Responsibility

  • Organising and completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with the PPM schedule
  • Responding to reactive maintenance requests promptly and professionally
  • Installing and repairing plant and associated systems
  • Supervising other engineers and subcontractors when required
  • Carry out PPM tasks in accordance with SFG20 standards on Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC equipment
  • Identify and report additional works
  • Maintain housekeeping standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients and head office
  • Complete accurate engineer reports for purchasing and returns

Requirements

  • Proven experience in building services or facilities maintenance
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC systems
  • Ability to work independently and supervise others when required
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Relevant qualifications and competency checks
  • GCSE in English and Maths or Equivalent (Essential)
  • 2 years previous experience within similar environment and in particular across area multi sites and multi-discipline service delivery
  • Background in engineering/property maintenance
  • Ability to manage priorities in line with business needs
  • Comprehensive understanding of domestic plumbing and heating systems
  • Mechanical Engineering credentials

  • Accredited Health and Safety qualification e.g. IOSH Working Safely or equivalent
  • City & Guilds BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspect Electrical Qualification or equivalent
