Job Description:

Position at The West Hollywood EDITION Residences. Greet and assist guests with luggage, information, and transportation while maintaining professional standards and safety.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet and escort guests to rooms
  • Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property
  • Inform guests of property amenities, services, hours, and local areas of interest
  • Identify and explain room features to guests
  • Transport guest luggage to/from rooms and bell area
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval
  • Assist guests/visitors in/out of vehicles and with loading/unloading luggage
  • Supply guests with directions
  • Arrange transportation for guests/visitors
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property
  • Maintain clean, professional uniform and appearance
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
  • Assist individuals with disabilities
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Speak using clear, professional language
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • No license or certification required
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats
  • Ability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or entire shift
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing ≤50 lbs without assistance and >75 lbs with assistance
  • Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs/ramps
  • Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, stooping
