Job Description:

Maximize production from reservoirs through effective reservoir management practices, surveillance plans, and identification of opportunities for improvement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identification, planning, and close follow-up of the reservoir surveillance plans for the reservoir
  • Identification and follow-up of reservoir management activities to maximize production, voidage replacement improvement, and reduce the production decline rates
  • Perform simulation and special studies related to well performance improvement initiatives
  • Use of segmented well modeling (IX), both 3D and Single Well Models to optimize and design KB wells
  • Opportunities identification and maturation to FID (RD Workovers, Tubing Change-outs, Integrity WO, Stimulation...) for production and injection improvements
  • Timely generation of monthly unconstrained profiles for short-term production forecast (Rolling Forecast)
  • New wells and work-overs post-mortem synthesis
  • Wells & Well Patterns reviews, and identify remedial actions
  • WAG cycles optimization, execution, and follow-up
  • Surfactant pilots maturation, execution and monitoring
  • Support Profiles and Reserves team by providing data for Integrated Asset Modelling
  • Support IRM team for NFA unconstrained profiles aggregation and analysis
  • Effective collaboration between KB RMO and company entities
  • Provide support to team members
  • Perform detailed wells performance analysis and post-mortem synthesis
  • Perform subsurface studies to improve production and injection (slugging, NFA decline analysis, stabilization analysis, GL optimization, etc.)
  • Perform simulation studies (IX) to define optimum injection (water and WAG), short-term forecasting, and voidage replacement improvement
  • Use of simulation and 4D seismic to identify optimum zonal shifting and injection schemes to increase sweep efficiency
  • Segmented well modelling (IX) both in 3D and Single Well Models to optimize and design complex wells
  • Identify and prioritize reservoir surveillance plans and ensure close follow-up
  • Identify opportunities, ranking, and maturation (re-drills, workovers, stimulation, etc.) until FID
  • Lead light workovers maturation (tubing change-out) until final SOR
  • Maintain and close follow-up of opportunities hopper
  • Support WAG cycles optimization, execution, and follow-up
  • Support the maturation of Surfactant pilots, execution, and follow-up
  • Contribute to the generation of the yearly reservoir management plans and ensure their execution
  • Prepare and present the Quarterly Reservoir Management reviews to SH’s
  • Perform decline curve analysis and generate the monthly unconstrained profiles for the rolling forecast
  • Define completion strategies for future wells supported by simulation studies and 4D seismic
  • Support the New Well Delivery team all along the WO’s SOR process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Reservoir Engineering or Petroleum Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 6+ years in a subsurface organization
  • Strong knowledge of reservoir management and surveillance processes
  • Hands-on experience with dynamic modeling tools (Eclipse, IX, Petrel) and history matching
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach
  • Ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong internal and external networking skills
