Job Description

As a Reservations Agent, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests. Your role is to ensure every reservation enquiry is handled professionally, efficiently, and with genuine hospitality. You will manage bookings across multiple channels, support revenue optimisation, and work closely with the Front Office and Revenue teams to maximise occupancy and guest satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with front office or reservations experience who wants to develop their career within hotel reservations, revenue management, or hospitality operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage hotel reservations via phone, email, and online booking channels
  • Accurately input and manage reservations using Opera PMS
  • Provide guests with detailed information about hotel rooms, facilities, and services
  • Ensure all bookings are processed efficiently and correctly
  • Handle modifications, cancellations, and special guest requests
  • Upsell room categories and hotel services where appropriate
  • Maintain a high standard of guest communication and customer service
  • Work closely with the Front Office, Sales, and Revenue teams to optimise occupancy
  • Monitor booking trends and assist with revenue opportunities where required
  • Ensure all reservations procedures and policies are followed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hotel reservations, front office, or hospitality reception
  • Experience using Opera PMS or similar hotel booking systems
  • Strong customer service and guest communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when managing bookings
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Strong telephone and email communication skills
  • A positive and team-focused attitude

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment
  • Knowledge of hotel revenue practices and room inventory management
  • Experience handling online travel agent (OTA) reservations

  • Curate the structure of an exquisite stay, being the very first point of contact our guests have with us. Responsible for maximizing room and rate yield at the hotel, ensuring a timely response to all reservations enquiries
  • Process and input group, FIT and corporate reservations following hotel reservations policy
  • Answer all calls promptly, within 3 rings using specified greeting for hotel, in a courteous and efficient manner. Ensure that all relevant information is obtained
  • Take initiative to seek out memorable ways to engage with guests, and harness your creativity to deliver emotion and heart felt service in every interaction
  • Ensure all Group checklists are updated on the same date they are received
  • Send group invoice to companies/agents for payment and follow-up on any outstanding payments
  • Expertly provide upselling opportunities and recruit onto Accor Live Limitless (ALL)
  • Liaison with Sales team and Food and Beverage team for conference or event arrangement
  • Take personal responsibility to ensure that all inquiries are addressed
  • Ensure all outward correspondence complies with company procedures, and any unusual correspondence is authorised by the Operations Manager
