Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a Reservations Agent to be the go-to person for guests booking their stay at Hyde London City. You’ll play a key role as the initial contact for guests, giving top-notch service, making guests feel at home, and finding ways to boost sales.

Job Responsibility

  • Answer guest enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay on top of what's happening in our hotels and the local scene
  • Quote rates, process, and confirm reservations by email or phone, following the department’s guidelines
  • Secure bookings, and charge no-show or late cancellation fees when needed
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports to keep the team informed and operations running smoothly
  • Work closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure accurate data entry, follow the pricing strategy in place, and stay up to date on the latest revenue strategies, promos, and offers
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Groups team to identify potential sales leads and follow the sales strategy in place
  • Maximise our sales by having a sales mindset and jumping on any chances to upsell
  • Highlight extra services or special packages to boost sales
  • Work closely with the Front Desk team for day-to-day operations
  • Work closely with finance team to audit and validate reservations commissions

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role within a 4/5 star hotel
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills and excellent command of the English language
  • Previous experience working with OPERA (Opera Cloud experience and working with TARS would be a plus)
  • Experience working for Accor hotels would be beneficial but not a must
  • You’re humble and open to ideas

  • Curate the structure of an exquisite stay, being the very first point of contact our guests have with us. Responsible for maximizing room and rate yield at the hotel, ensuring a timely response to all reservations enquiries
  • Process and input group, FIT and corporate reservations following hotel reservations policy
  • Answer all calls promptly, within 3 rings using specified greeting for hotel, in a courteous and efficient manner. Ensure that all relevant information is obtained
  • Take initiative to seek out memorable ways to engage with guests, and harness your creativity to deliver emotion and heart felt service in every interaction
  • Ensure all Group checklists are updated on the same date they are received
  • Send group invoice to companies/agents for payment and follow-up on any outstanding payments
  • Expertly provide upselling opportunities and recruit onto Accor Live Limitless (ALL)
  • Liaison with Sales team and Food and Beverage team for conference or event arrangement
  • Take personal responsibility to ensure that all inquiries are addressed
  • Ensure all outward correspondence complies with company procedures, and any unusual correspondence is authorised by the Operations Manager
