Job Description

Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Reservation Specialist to support hotel booking operations in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys assisting guests, handling high-volume call activity, and ensuring reservation details are accurate from the initial request through final confirmation. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for booking inquiries, itinerary adjustments, and customer support related to extended hotel stays.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle incoming calls and assist customers with hotel reservation requests in a fast-paced service environment
  • Update, revise, and confirm booking details to ensure each reservation reflects current guest needs and stay requirements
  • Support guests with changes such as date adjustments, room requests, and other reservation-related modifications
  • Manage bookings for short- and long-term stays, including reservations extending up to 40 nights
  • Communicate clearly with clients to explain reservation options, availability, pricing, and applicable terms
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a high standard of service and accuracy
  • Coordinate reservation information carefully to reduce errors and provide timely confirmations
  • Apply strong relationship-management skills to create a positive customer experience throughout each interaction

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service, reservations, call center support, or hospitality-related operations
  • Ability to manage a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and responsiveness
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust and maintain positive client relationships
  • Experience reviewing pricing, terms, or booking conditions and communicating them clearly to customers
  • Comfortable handling reservation changes, updates, and detailed service requests with close attention to detail
  • Ability to use sound judgment when addressing customer concerns and negotiating acceptable booking-related solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple requests efficiently in a deadline-driven setting

  • Block rooms weekly according to established policy and upcoming occupancy needs
  • Review and update maintenance fee and payment plan information as needed
  • Block Out-of-Order (OOO) rooms per direction of the GM and AGM
  • Support blocking of model units and rooms affected by future renovations
  • Review daily booking activity to identify timing issues, conflicts, or incorrect placement
  • Assist with overbooking management, ticketing, and relocation coordination
  • Collaborate with GM/AGM to submit inventory requests to the management company for major renovations or downtime periods
