Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Reservations Agent to join us here at Bankside Hotel. Bankside Hotel is a place for people who love culture, creativity, food, art, and great hospitality. As our Reservations Agent, you will play an important part in shaping the guest journey from the very first enquiry. Whether a guest is booking a stay, amending a reservation, asking a question, or planning something special, you will help make the experience seamless, personal, and easy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle individual reservations received by telephone, email, online channels, and through central reservation systems
  • Make sure every booking is accurate, every detail is captured, and every guest receives a warm and helpful response
  • Create and update bookings, process confirmations, cancellations and amendments, take advance deposits, and ensure all information is communicated clearly with guests and internal teams
  • Work closely with Front of House team
  • Develop knowledge of group reservations

Requirements:

  • Positive, open-minded, forward-thinking, happy to bring their personality to work
  • Previous experience in reservations, front office, hospitality, or with Marriott systems would be a great advantage, but it is not essential
  • Can-do attitude, willingness to learn, genuine interest in hospitality
  • Can work independently
  • Comfortable dotting the i's, crossing the t's, and making sure nothing is missed

  • Fluent in selling room packages and higher room type
  • Close communication with other hotel departments to ensure every guest has a smooth arrival experience
  • To share any special guest information, preferences and instructions within the Reservations Team as well as with other departments
  • Assist reservation manager in inventory control by balancing inventory and managing overbooking
  • Able to handle room block monitoring, rooming lists, reporting pick up, VIP and upgraded accommodations
