You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Nanomaterials for Energy and Lifescience Research Unit is coordinated by Guglielmo Lanzani. The research focuses on functional abiotic/biotic interfaces. This includes molecular phototransducers and organic nanoparticles for cells stimulation, their design, characterization and application to biomedicine and hybrid robotics.
Job Responsibility:
Managing the bacteria factory
Supervise labs activities on biofilm formation and integration in devices
Requirements:
A PhD in chemistry and chemical engineering, physics and physics engineering, biotechnology, biology, bio-medical engineering, material science, and similar disciplines
Documented experience in handling, studying and use of bacteria
Coherent publication record
Good command of spoken and written English
Nice to have:
Experience in lab management and students’ supervision
Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
Possess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset
