This is an outstanding opportunity for a Research Technician, with a background in Neuroscience, to work within the young and growing group of Dr Nina Milosavljevic, which is based at Division of Neuroscience at the School of Biological Sciences. This position offers an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual to work as part of a sociable multi-disciplinary team consisting of a post-doctoral researcher and 3 PhD students.
Job Responsibility:
Support the aims of the grant to investigate the Role of the Amygdala in Modulating Affective State in Response to Visual Stimuli
Investigate visual influences on the rodent amygdala in both mice and Rhabdomys, integrating behavioural, neuronal, and anatomical levels of analysis
Requirements:
Background in Neuroscience
Excellent analytical skills
Experience with behavioural testing
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience with MATLAB and DLC analysis is essential
