Job Description:

We’re building Mo — a health companion for everyone. We’re a small team within Alan, on a mission to redefine the future of care by democratizing access to medical expertise. We are building Mo, an intelligent, empathetic, multimodal LLM-based conversational AI assistant able to prescribe, triage, and proactively follow up on care. You’ll work at the intersection of AI research and clinical application. Our mission is to build the most accurate and reliable medical agent in the world, while delivering an outstanding conversational experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build internal medical models — develop and evaluate foundation models and fine-tuned architectures for structured clinical reasoning
  • Inject knowledge in clinical workflows — augment generation with structured clinical knowledge using retrieval pipelines and hallucination-mitigation strategies
  • Push the frontier of voice-based agents for healthcare — research and deploy streaming speech recognition and context-aware state switching
  • Develop eval frameworks for clinical AI — design and run evals to understand where our agents fail and improve them
  • Build lifelong memory and personalization infrastructure — explore architectures for dynamic memory and personalized reasoning

Requirements:

  • Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and/or large-scale model training
  • Experience with LLMs, RLHF, multi-agent systems, retrieval-augmented generation, or speech processing is a big plus
  • Product-minded: you want your research to be used, not just written about
  • Self-directed and pragmatic
  • Humble and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!)
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching
  • Fluent in English (no need to speak French!)
  • High potential and curiosity
  • 3+ years of experience (or equivalent research track record)

Nice to have:

Experience with LLMs, RLHF, multi-agent systems, retrieval-augmented generation, or speech processing is a big plus

What we offer:
  • Fair rewards. Generous equity packages
  • Flexible Office. Amazing office space at our HQ, sponsored co-working hubs or a full-remote experience with home office equipment sponsorship
  • All the tools you need. Top of the range equipment: Macbook Pro, keyboard, laptop stand, monitor, and Bose noise-canceling headphones
  • Flexible vacation policy and flexible working hours
  • Delightful healthcare insurance: Extremely comprehensive health insurance - 100% for you and your children, 90-100% for partners depending on your country
  • Transport. Country-specific commuter benefits
  • Learning & Training opportunities. A highly flexible Training policy free books and budget to attend and speak at conferences
  • Personal growth through coaching: paired with a dedicated coach from day one
  • Parental leave. Extended parental leave for all new parents
