As a Research Scientist I - Mass Spectrometry, you will play a pivotal part in laboratory testing and analytical method development, utilizing cutting-edge mass spectrometry techniques, particularly LC-MS/MS. Job Responsibility:
Engage in laboratory testing as part of research and development initiatives aimed at sustaining market products and pioneering new product developments
Participate in the development, evaluation, and validation of new analytical methods to analyze raw materials and finished products, primarily using targeted LC-MS analysis
Document and review results meticulously in electronic laboratory notebooks, adhering to established Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Create and update equipment and analytical procedures, and assist in the procurement of raw materials and analytical equipment
Analyze experimental data and present insightful conclusions to your supervisor, contributing to informed decision-making
Write comprehensive protocols and reports in English, ensuring clarity and precision in communication
Uphold quality system requirements, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and GDP standards, as well as environmental, health, and safety guidelines
Maintain laboratory reagents, materials, and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences) with 5+ years of experience
or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
or PhD with 0+ years of experience
Proficient in mass spectrometry and chromatography
Excellent interpersonal skills
ability to present technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proactive attitude with independent ownership of analysis and results
Solid understanding of ICH guidelines and current Good Practice (cGxP) standards
Ability to challenge the status quo, adapt to changes, and work collaboratively in a team environment
Skills to identify risks, issues, and opportunities
