Research Scientist I - Mass Spectrometry

• Engage in laboratory testing as part of research and development initiatives aimed at sustaining market products and pioneering new product developments
• Participate in the development, evaluation, and validation of new analytical methods to analyze raw materials and finished products, primarily using targeted LC-MS analysis
• Document and review results meticulously in electronic laboratory notebooks, adhering to established Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Create and update equipment and analytical procedures, and assist in the procurement of raw materials and analytical equipment
• Analyze experimental data and present insightful conclusions to your supervisor, contributing to informed decision-making
• Write comprehensive protocols and reports in English, ensuring clarity and precision in communication
• Uphold quality system requirements, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and GDP standards, as well as environmental, health, and safety guidelines
• Maintain laboratory reagents, materials, and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences) with 5+ years of experience
• or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
• or PhD with 0+ years of experience
• Proficient in mass spectrometry and chromatography
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• ability to present technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proactive attitude with independent ownership of analysis and results
• Solid understanding of ICH guidelines and current Good Practice (cGxP) standards
• Ability to challenge the status quo, adapt to changes, and work collaboratively in a team environment
• Skills to identify risks, issues, and opportunities
