Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Promotion Officer to join the existing Collections, Research and Learning team on a fixed term basis until 14th September 2027. Reporting to the Research Manager the successful applicant will promote, effectively and widely, research produced by or associated with the museum. They will design and deliver the museum’s summer and winter lecture series, recruiting speakers to provide a varied and engaging showcase of insightful talks. They will likewise organise the museum’s annual postgraduate and early career researcher conference Weapons in Society, working with academic and heritage partners in order to deliver the event successfully. Furthermore, they will publicise museum research through a variety of social media channels.

  • U.S. Citizenship required. Two (2) years of college with courses in engineering or associated disciplines such as facilities or maintenance preferred, and six (6) years of related experience.   • Communicate and coordinate all required work with all interested parties to avoid unacceptable disruptions in the Government's operations
  • Perform daily walk-throughs and various inspections to ensure the facility and its equipment are functioning properly
