Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Research and Innovation Team for a Band 6 Research Nurse/AHP or Practitioner to coordinate and manage a portfolio of research, providing GWH patients with access to opportunities to participate in ground breaking research.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute to the management of the local portfolio of research projects
  • Take responsibility for studies allocated by the Research Clinical Delivery Lead
  • Provide clinical support for research participants
  • Assess and manage care pathways for patients and carers participating in research projects
  • Recruit, educate and monitor patients recruited into research projects
  • Collect and document accurate data
  • Support day to day functioning of the wider team
  • Provide line management
  • Contribute to the development of others
  • Work with staff across the organization to raise awareness of research
  • Identify and develop strategies to increase activity and overcome barriers

Requirements:

  • Nursing Degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrate on going personal development
  • Post registration experience
  • Current UK professional registration

Nice to have:

  • Communication training experience
  • Previous involvement in Research/audit activity
