We are looking for a Research Intern to join the Strategy & Operations team within Health Futures. You will be paired with mentors and play a critical role in the success of our current and future program investments by developing meaningful analyses from market and scientific data. The role will require an interdisciplinary approach and willingness to collaborate widely with projects and stakeholders across Health Futures and the broader Microsoft organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to driving the strategic vision for Health Futures across our healthcare and life sciences focus areas
  • Produce high quality discussion and presentation materials (e.g., landscape / competitive assessment, financial modeling and business case development, etc.) to facilitate engaging discussions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to pipeline management by substantiating partnership rationale and data acquisition strategy in the context of market trends and Microsoft’s strategy

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an advanced degree program (PhD, MBA, MS / MA, etc.)
  • At least 2 years of experience in life sciences, pharma, biotech
  • Interested in the life sciences and are excited about the intersection of AI and healthcare
  • Demonstrated strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and / or complex environments
  • Intellectually curious and able to see things from different points of view
  • Ability to absorb complex technical and scientific information and creatively distill into key takeaways, crisp analyses, presentations, and narratives
  • Highly collaborative and able to build trusting relationships across multiple stakeholders
  • Proficient interpersonal skills, with prior experience working across multiple teams and functions, including the ability to effectively support management of stakeholders internally
