This is an exciting opportunity for a research funding specialist to play a key role supporting researchers in the Camberwell, Chelsea, and Wimbledon Colleges of Arts to secure funding from a broad range of sources in the arts and humanities.
Job Responsibility:
Support the creation and drafting of funding bids on behalf of the colleges
Scope current and future bid opportunities, ensuring eligibility and adherence to funder requirements, and matching academic research staff to funding opportunities
Contribute to and support the design, costing, writing, and editing of external funding applications
Track the pipeline of applications as they progress from development through to submission and provide regular reporting, giving an overview of grant and funding activity at college level
Play a pivotal role in increasing external income through horizon scanning
Proactively identify funding opportunities from a wide range of sources, including small and medium-sized funds and fellowships
Requirements:
Knowledge and experience of applying for research funding from bodies such as UK Research Councils and trusts and foundations
A track record in successful bid writing to support research activities within the context of Higher Education
The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, adapting Research messaging for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way
