Job Description

Our Innovation Team is at the forefront of researching new technologies and building prototypes of groundbreaking features, keeping us ahead of the competition. We’re on the lookout for a Researcher who can collaborate closely with our research staff and aid them in delivering innovative functionality to our products. Ideal candidates should be playful developers experienced in both AI research and software engineering. They should be capable of autonomously designing and solving complex problems with fuzzy boundaries and vague specifications. This role requires a natural-born problem solver with strong coding and system design skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Engage in the research of new technologies and the coding of prototypes
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve set goals and be involved in the architectural design and implementation of software systems
  • Support and maintain existing features deployed by the Innovation team
  • Develop and maintain APIs and service-oriented architectures
  • Understand the non-trivial backends and logic of delivered features, capable of explaining their workings to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • Technical background, preferably MSc. level in STEM
  • At least 3 years in a technical position as a developer/researcher
  • Experience with common machine learning concepts and software engineering principles
  • Hands-on experience with either natural language processing or computer vision, and system design
  • Preferred skillset: Python, SQL, Pyspark, ML/AI, software design patterns, code versioning, and bug tracking systems
  • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Numpy, Pandas, Scikit
  • Good applied statistics skills with a strong foundation in system architecture and API development
