Research Associate in ELSI in Rare Conditions

• Support research focused on rare conditions clinical trials, including qualitative and mixed-methods research
• engagement with patients, family members, public contributors and professionals
• support for study recruitment
• research ethics applications
• analysis of research data
• contribute to patient and public involvement and engagement activity
• ensure that lived experience informs the direction and impact of the research

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Genetic/Genomic Counselling, Genomic Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Medical Sociology or the Social Sciences)
• experience of working with patients, public contributors, or vulnerable and marginalised groups
• experience of qualitative research methods including interviewing and analysis
• strong communication, organisational and collaborative working skills
• a PhD/DPhil in a relevant area would be advantageous
