The purpose of this position is to support research activities in the laboratory focused on medical and veterinary parasites. The research assistant will assist with laboratory experiments, contribute to the daily operation of the laboratory, and help training and supporting students.

Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree
Bachelor's or master’s degree in biology, microbiology, molecular biology, or closely related fields
Prior experience with molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR and gene cloning)
Experience with cell culture or parasite in vitro culture
Familiarity with serological assay (e.g. ELISA, immunoassays)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a BSL-2 laboratory environment
Strong organizational skills
Familiarity with bioinformatic analysis
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
