The Research Analyst will work with members of the Value Creation team of one of CRISIL’s clients, a Global Private Equity Firm based in New York City. They will support the team across a variety of Operational Efficiency projects. This position will emphasize the opportunity to collaborate extensively with the team in a fast-paced and global work environment.
Job Responsibility:
Building and maintaining the new Procurement value creation area: Meeting with key vendors, creating meeting prep and follow-up notes, documenting and organizing information
Creating easy tracking and reporting systems with large amounts of raw data, creating end to end monthly reports (draft, analysis, revise) showing key insights from data
Automating repetitive processes using Claude
Supporting on diligence and value creation projects regarding non-personnel levers doing financial analysis
Research best in class Procurement practices and create insightful research reports
Leading the creation of AI reports for diligence and portfolio projects
Creating insightful case studies in PPT by doing research using Claude
Cutting large survey data using excel and Claude
Automate outputs using Claude skills and running python scripts (no previous experience required with python, but openness + eagerness to learn to run scripts)
Populate large PPT decks using survey data and making sure all numbers tie across the outputs, high-level of detail-orientation required
Research best in class AI tools, processes, and example companies to create insightful research reports
Supporting in additional Operational Efficiency projects such as (1) due diligence of prospective investments (financial & organizational benchmarking), and (2) portfolio company projects (e.g. efficiency analysis, organizational analysis and growth strategy)
Analyze a company using annual reports and publicly available information to perform financial benchmarking (e.g. analyzing P&L lines items like COGS + OPEX) using Excel/Claude and summarize key findings into PPT
Perform spans and layers analysis and compare organizational structure to competitive organizations and benchmarks
Perform organizational benchmarking using tools like LinkedIn Talent Insights, the Org, Revelio, etc.
