Job Description:

The research analyst will work side-by-side with the investment teams of one clients, a Global Private Equity Firm based in NYC. The main objective of the role is to assist the team with market research support throughout the investment/deal life cycle. This position provides the opportunity to work in a global environment with top associates and executives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Help the team to identify and understand key investment areas within assigned sectors by preparing industry overviews on sub-sectors/verticals
  • Build material to help the team prepare for meetings with prospect companies: company profiles, people profiles, etc
  • Support the team sourcing effort by building market maps and identifying potential prospect companies
  • Prepare Insight analysis on specific sectors or companies and keep the teams up to date sharing relevant sector and portfolio company information
  • Learn and apply key skills across due diligence of prospective investments (market sizing/modeling, competitive landscape assessment, voice of customer, etc.)
  • Learn and apply key skills across portfolio company value creation (including but not limited to operational efficiency, digital marketing, pricing, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences or other relative degrees
  • Excellent command of both spoken & written English is a minimum
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel is a must
  • Previous exposure to other Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word) is a minimum
