The research analyst will work side-by-side with the investment teams of one clients, a Global Private Equity Firm based in NYC. The main objective of the role is to assist the team with market research support throughout the investment/deal life cycle. This position provides the opportunity to work in a global environment with top associates and executives.
Job Responsibility:
Help the team to identify and understand key investment areas within assigned sectors by preparing industry overviews on sub-sectors/verticals
Build material to help the team prepare for meetings with prospect companies: company profiles, people profiles, etc
Support the team sourcing effort by building market maps and identifying potential prospect companies
Prepare Insight analysis on specific sectors or companies and keep the teams up to date sharing relevant sector and portfolio company information
Learn and apply key skills across due diligence of prospective investments (market sizing/modeling, competitive landscape assessment, voice of customer, etc.)
Learn and apply key skills across portfolio company value creation (including but not limited to operational efficiency, digital marketing, pricing, etc.)
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences or other relative degrees
Excellent command of both spoken & written English is a minimum
Excellent command of Microsoft Excel is a must
Previous exposure to other Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word) is a minimum
