Job Description:

This is a key role within Great Western NHS Foundation Trust's Research & Innovation department. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important part in facilitating the set-up of research projects across our Hospital's clinical specialties. By providing co-ordination and administration support, the post-holder will help to ensure high quality clinical research governance at the Trust. The post-holder will also be involved in the implementation and maintenance of Research Management systems, in order to support corporate research objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Updating and maintaining the research management system EDGE
  • Responsible for the Trust approval process of all Research Amendments, and observational research studies
  • Reviewing study protocols to understand the impact the proposed activity has on the Trust in order to gain appropriate approvals, contract amendments and issue continued Capacity and Capability
  • Invoicing against research finance schedules
  • Develop and implement systems for teams to maintain up to date source information to allow for raising of invoices where appropriate

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 4, Diploma or equivalent training and experience
  • Awareness of the Research environment within the NHS
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to accurately interpret, analyse and present data
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
  • Ability to provide advice and support to others

Nice to have:

  • GCP Training
  • Knowledge of Local Portfolio Management Systems and their use in research management
