Job Description

The Management and Systems Engineer’s duties include: Assists in the development and management of requirements for nuclear infrastructure project delivery. Assembles and manages definition of high-level requirements to satisfy customer and project end goals. Manages and oversee the development of derived requirements as developed during early design definition. Management of Contract and SOW requirements. Communicates in a manner that is consistent, effective, and efficient in both written and oral forms, across all levels of the project (customer, internal resources, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, etc. interface with clients. Assist the project team and other stakeholders in developing interface definitions and controls to ensure integration across engineering disciplines and with owner and third-party vendor supplied special equipment. Organizes the work and project team within the parameters of the company, program, and/or project standards. Document requirements in a data base tool to assist in documentation and control of requirements. Assist the project team in verification that requirements are being satisfied during project delivery. Demonstrate the achievement of verification in a data base tool and published reports. Assist the project team in change management and impacts to satisfying documented requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in a project delivery and people management role
  • Must demonstrate a well-rounded knowledge of related project delivery disciplines associated with nuclear facility infrastructure
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple levels and reporting lines
  • Must have strong relationship management, facilitation and consulting skills
  • Demonstrated experience / knowledge of the Engineering Design Process (control of design inputs and verification/validation of outputs)
  • Experienced and has an advanced level of specialized engineering knowledge in change management
  • Appropriate combination of education, experience, and competency: Experience with the Management of Contracts and SOW requirements
  • Experienced in maintaining a comprehensive requirements management system or a particular Requirements Management Tool
  • Experienced and fully versed in writing and reviewing of technical quality documentation
  • Fully versed in safety and operational requirements, from initial design to final implementation, by managing requirements, conducting analyses, and verifying compliance
  • Fully versed in industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
  • Candidate to have knowledge/experience with DOE orders, standards, and guidelines pertaining to requirements management and/or the establishment of requirements on DOE projects like: DOE-STD-3009, DOE-STD-3024, DOE-STD-1189, DOE-STD-1073, DOE O 413.3, DOE O 420.1B
