Job Description

We are looking for a Reporting & Reconciliation Analyst to join our Professional Services team in São Paulo. This is a crucial role. You will be the expert who helps our biggest merchants understand and optimize how they use Adyen’s financial reporting tools. You’ll work directly with our largest and most strategic merchants to guide them through complex reconciliation tasks, act as a financial subject matter expert during onboarding, and improve the overall experience for merchant finance teams. This is a cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with Implementation Managers, Project Operation Managers, as well as Sales, Account Managers, Support and Product. You’ll serve as a critical partner in reducing onboarding friction, accelerating time-to-margin, and turning one of Adyen’s most historically challenging areas into a long-term strength. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves to dive deep into data and help others succeed.

Job Responsibility

  • Guide merchants through the setup, interpretation, and reconciliation of financial reports
  • Participate in implementation and ramp phases to ensure financial readiness from day one
  • Provide specialized support for submerchant payout logic, settlement timing, fees, receivables advancements and tax reporting
  • Serve as the key escalation point for our Commercial and Support teams when they face tough reporting questions
  • Support high-value or complex focus accounts with their unique reconciliation challenges, acting as a true problem-solver
  • Provide direct feedback to our global Product teams to help them improve our tools and fix systemic issues
  • Partner with Technical Support to improve response quality and resolution times
  • Work closely with Project Operation Managers and Implementation Manager teams to offload specialized financial responsibilities and enable scale
  • Identify common issues and create clear, scalable guides, templates, and documentation for both merchants and our internal teams
  • Train our teams to better understand the financial implications of Adyen’s reporting tools

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a related field like financial reportings, payments processing in Brazil, or reconciliation
  • Experience in the payments industry is required
  • Great communication skills in both Portuguese and English
  • Available to work 3 days in person on Morumbi/SP
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Understand merchant finance workflows and can explain complex financial reports in a simple, actionable way
  • Comfortable with financial data structures, bank statements, general ledgers, transaction records, and know how to reconcile across systems
  • Take ownership
  • Fast learner and are excited by new technologies

Experience using AI tools to build and maintain this knowledge base is a huge plus
