Job Description

The Reporting and Digitisation Manager: Business Performance leads the development of integrated performance reporting, automation and digital enablement across Vodacom Business. The role enables faster, data-driven decision-making by delivering timely insights, reducing manual reporting, improving governance and creating clear visibility of sales, pipeline, forecast, commission, partner and overall business performance metrics.

Job Responsibility

  • Performance Reporting: Design and deliver accurate executive dashboards and reports that provide visibility of targets, pipeline health, forecast performance, revenue KPIs and key business outcomes.
  • Reporting Automation: Automate recurring reporting processes using BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Qlik or equivalent platforms to improve reporting speed, reliability and self-service access.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from CRM, pipeline, ERP, financial and partner management systems to create a consistent single source of truth for Business Performance reporting.
  • Digitisation: Identify and implement digital solutions that replace manual, spreadsheet-based or fragmented processes, improve governance and reduce operational risk.
  • Advanced BI, dashboarding and data visualisation capability, including Power BI, Qlik or similar tools.
  • Strong data management, SQL, ETL/ELT, data modelling and integration skills across enterprise systems.
  • Working knowledge of automation, scripting, low-code/RPA tools, advanced Excel and emerging analytics or AI-enabled reporting solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small reporting and digital specialist team, setting clear goals and building delivery capability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Commercial, IT, Data & Analytics, Finance and Partner Management to ensure reporting solutions meet business needs.
  • Adoption & Governance: Drive adoption of self-service reporting, support performance governance forums and advise stakeholders on effective use of data and insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification in Business Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • 7–10 years' experience in business intelligence, data analytics, performance reporting or digital enablement within a large, complex organisation.
  • 2–3 years' leadership experience managing analysts, reporting teams or technical delivery teams, preferably in telecommunications, B2B or enterprise environments.
  • Professional certifications in analytics, project management, or process improvement
  • SQL/database knowledge, data extraction, transformation, manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong BI reporting capability using Power BI, QlikSense or similar tools.
  • Experience working with multiple data sources, data models and reporting structures.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Python or similar analytical scripting experience advantageous.
  • Strong communication, data storytelling, planning, organisation and project/process management skills.
  • Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly, succinctly and credibly to senior stakeholders.
