Job Responsibility:
Reporting Manager supporting financial control, reporting, and compliance by managing key accounting processes across all South African entities, including intercompany accounting, lease accounting under US GAAP and IFRS, financial statement preparation, and the administration of related reconciliations and schedules
Oversee intercompany accounting for all companies, including monthly AR/AP reconciliations and P&L cross-charge balancing
Prepare IC horizontal cross-charges balancing (P&L)
Support lease accounting (US GAAP & IFRS) by preparing schedules and maintaining segregation of duties
Administration and tracking ED and ESD loans, ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting
Manage PRs/POs for Control & Reporting, Tax, and Treasury department purchases
Compile monthly GL reconciliations for tax purposes, including professional/legal fees and overseas travel expenses
Process IC ZA08 AP & AR invoices and facilitate monthly foreign intercompany payments
Conduct rental analyses and maintain master data updates/changes
Prepare financial statements for all South African entities
Serve as first point of contact with KPMG for outstanding audit items
Provide support for SOA maintenance and other ad hoc reporting requirements
Control Lead for Blackline related administration / coordination activities
Lead projects and participate in business initiatives as directed by the Control & Reporting Leadership
Drive AOP vision of excellence in reporting with NIL PTR
Requirements:
Computer literate i.e. MS Office, HFM, FDM and SAP experience is preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance environment (CA (SA) preferable)
Experience with IFRS, US GAAP and SEC reporting principles and practices
Ability to self-manage in a complex and matrix environment
Good interpersonal skills to deal with a variety of people from different backgrounds
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with senior management
Analytical skills, attention to detail and problem solving
