Job Description

We're on the hunt for a Reporter ready to spearhead high-stakes news delivery across our broadcast and digital platforms for a 12 month fixed term contract. This isn't for the faint of heart, we need a journalist with a distinctive editorial edge, a proven track record for impactful investigations, and the consistent ability to break and deliver stories that matter to a national audience. You possess a strong on-air presence, a deep understanding of today's relentless news cycle, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You're not just reporting; you're contributing directly to the strategic direction of our newsroom. Flexibility to operate across a 7-day roster and travel as needed is essential.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive exclusive news, identify, chase, and deliver agenda-setting exclusive stories
  • Cultivate key relationships, build and maintain trusted contacts across sectors
  • Produce multi-platform content, create high-quality reports for TV, digital, and social media
  • Deliver expert live reporting, present confident live crosses, including breaking news
  • Uphold journalistic excellence, lead by example in ethics and contribute to a collaborative newsroom

Requirements

  • Proven ability to consistently break significant stories that set the news agenda
  • Commanding on-air presence
  • Mastery of research, writing, and interviewing
  • Strategic editorial mindset
  • Proactive and collaborative approach, leveraging digital tools for maximum reach
  • Must already have the right to lawfully work and live in Australia
