Job Description

We are looking for a Report Developer to support an organization in Jacksonville, Florida on a Contract basis. This position focuses on improving a large portfolio of existing reports, resolving reporting issues, and creating new data solutions that help teams make informed operational decisions. The role is ideal for someone who can work confidently across reporting tools and turn business needs into clear, reliable outputs.

Job Responsibility

  • Enhance, troubleshoot, and optimize a broad catalog of existing reports to improve accuracy, usability, and performance
  • Design and deliver new operational reports that address business needs across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Build, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that provide meaningful insight for leadership and day-to-day operations
  • Write and refine SQL-based queries and report logic to ensure dependable data retrieval and presentation
  • Partner with business users to gather requirements, clarify reporting requests, and translate needs into practical reporting solutions
  • Manage and prioritize a high-volume queue of report updates and new development requests while maintaining quality and timeliness
  • Create reporting solutions using data from Microsoft Dynamics GP and related back-office systems when needed
  • Support reporting improvements and related data activities that help reduce backlog and allow internal development resources to focus on core data management priorities

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience developing and supporting reports with SSRS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for dashboard creation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
  • Solid Microsoft SQL skills, including writing queries for reporting and data validation
  • Demonstrated ability to improve existing reports, resolve defects, and create new reporting assets
  • Experience working with data sourced from Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar back-office platforms is highly preferred
  • Ability to manage numerous reporting requests in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills for working with stakeholders to define reporting needs and deliver effective solutions
