Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Report Analyst to join our team in Anaheim, California OR New York City. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive informed business decisions. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in data reporting, Jira, and capacity planning who thrive in an Agile environment.

Job Responsibility:

Design and implement advanced queries to extract and analyze Jira data for tracking team performance metrics, such as sprint velocity and throughput
Develop and maintain customized dashboards in Jira to support resource planning, forecasting, and operational efficiency
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver visual, actionable insights
Integrate Jira and other business data sources into centralized reporting systems by working closely with data engineering teams
Build scalable data models and automate workflows to streamline updates and reduce manual effort
Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to uncover trends and opportunities for process improvement
Present complex data findings in clear, understandable formats tailored to technical and non-technical audiences
Provide training and support to users on interpreting dashboards and leveraging Jira data effectively
Monitor the performance of dashboards and optimize queries to enhance efficiency as data scales
Partner with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and ensure accurate interpretation of reports

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
At least 5–10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting
Proficiency in Jira, including developing dashboards and utilizing Agile best practices
Strong foundational knowledge of data analysis techniques and the ability to build reporting solutions from scratch
Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for statistical modeling
Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and presenting findings effectively
