Job Description

In this role, you act as the bridge between the company and the retail store.

Job Responsibility

  • Inventory Management & Ordering: Data Analysis: Monitoring real-time sales data to see what is selling
  • Order Generation: Creating 'pulls' or orders based on store capacity and historical sales trends
  • Forecasting: Predicting needs for major holidays like Mother’s Day, Easter, and the spring rush
  • Logistics & Coordination: Vendor Liaison: Intercompany communication to ensure they have the stock ready for shipment
  • Shipment Tracking: Ensuring trucks arrive at the Big Box centers on schedule
  • Space Planning: Coordinating with store managers to ensure there is physical space for new arrivals
  • 'Shrink' Control (Waste Management): Quality Control: Monitoring the life of the material on the floor
  • Markdown Strategy: Suggesting discounts for plants that are past their prime but still sellable to recover costs before they become a total loss

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of logistics experience (willing to train the right person)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
