Airworthiness and Certification Department at Airbus India is looking for an experienced engineer who can be trained as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) and Designated Airworthiness Engineer (DAE) for Repair Airworthiness Approval. Airworthiness & Certification - Services team in Bengaluru, work together with two other teams – one in Toulouse (France) and one in Mobile (USA). Between the three sites, we provide Airworthiness approval of repair solutions for the entire Airbus In-Service fleet, in a follow-the-sun approach. Working on all Airbus civil programs and on all ATAs, the jobholder will be exposed to various structural elements and systems, and their operating and loading conditions, design principles and their justification for certification requirements along with issues that are encountered in-service. Being part of a very dynamic team, the jobholder will develop multi-skills and acquire a high level of overall aircraft knowledge, and widen their network within the company.
Job Responsibility:
Working among experienced CVEs/ DAEs, job holder will take responsibility of their technical development and undergo training provided to achieve their delegation on time
Provide Airworthiness approval of in-service repair solutions supported by the Repair and Design Approval Form (RDAF)
Review the repair dossier from the Customer Services, appraise the repair design, verify the compliance to applicable requirements as Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE), if relevant, and approve the Repair as Designated Airworthiness Engineer (DAE) or communicate specific refusal to the customer support
Verify the correctness of the repair design justification, check the possible unsafe conditions and report airworthiness issues to the Repair approval manager and the relevant Chief Airworthiness Engineer (CAE) to guarantee product safety and maintain our privilege
When required, manage the AMOC acceptance dossiers with the CAE and the Authorities
Maintain the Airbus brand image by communicating with Customer Services and answering timely to our customer
Act on request as airworthiness specialists in a multifunctional team to solve Aircraft on Ground situations (AOG)
Report issues in order to support the head of repair approval, for training or reporting or improvement on the repair approval
Ensure the Airworthiness of the repair design defined by Airbus, verifying for repair that events relative to airworthiness are reported by In-service occurrence, reporting airworthiness issue to a Chief Airworthiness Engineer
Requirements:
Graduate/Post Graduate Engineer in Aerospace or related discipline
Fluent in English and ability to communicate / negotiate at all levels
Engineer with proven experience, in structures, preferably on Airbus products, with an integrated view of the aircraft Design and its operation and maintenance
Technically competent with the Design principles used in the compliance data
Substantial experience either as a Stress and F&DT engineer in defining and certifying structures ideally to a technical signatory level
