Job Description:

This role will be overseeing the daily operations of the customer technical repair centre. This includes managing repair schedules, coordinating technician tasks, ensuring timely completion of repairs, and maintaining an efficient workflow.

Job Responsibility:

  • Liaison between the repair department and other departments
  • Act as a point of contact for repair-related inquiries and issues within the business
  • Track repair progress and update relevant stakeholders on the status of ongoing repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of repair requests, work orders, and repair histories
  • Generate and present regular reports on repair activities
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on the shop floor as needed
  • Maintain regular communication with the repair team to ensure any potential downtime is properly coordinated with their activities
  • Ensure that all repairs are correctly routed through the system
  • Support engineering with routing repairs and creating engineering reports for completed repairs
  • Support the repair team where necessary to progress repairs through the business
  • Understanding customer needs, being professional and empathetic
  • Other duties as required
  • Investigating and searching for missing information needed to track returns

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and be on the production floor for extended periods
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to achieve UK security clearance is to be required for this role
