We are looking for a Rental Subsidy Specialist to support individuals and families through program participation, employment readiness, and ongoing case coordination. This position involves helping clients access services, understand program expectations, and work toward greater economic stability. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and comfortable building partnerships with community organizations, employers, and service providers.
Job Responsibility:
Collect and organize required participant and third-party documentation to support compliance with applicable program guidelines and funding requirements
Explain program expectations, participation steps, and available support services to individuals and families in a clear and thorough manner
Provide enrollment assistance, case management, and needs assessments to identify barriers to employment and housing stability
Guide participants in developing resumes, preparing for interviews, and setting realistic career and income-growth goals based on their background and assessment results
Connect clients with training opportunities, educational resources, job readiness programs, and employment leads that align with their skills and interests
Refer participants to community-based resources such as childcare, counseling, transportation, and other supportive services that promote successful outcomes
Maintain accurate case files, progress notes, assessments, calendars, and status reports using spreadsheets, databases, email, and word processing tools
Conduct outreach and collaborate with workforce centers, employers, local agencies, and community partners to expand access to jobs and supportive services
Lead individual or group sessions focused on career planning, job search strategies, and workplace preparation
Requirements:
Experience providing administrative or program support in a case management, workforce development, housing, or human services setting
Ability to communicate program information clearly and professionally to participants, community partners, and service providers
Strong organizational skills with experience maintaining records, tracking participant activity, and preparing routine reports
Proficiency with common office and computer applications, including email, calendars, spreadsheets, word processing, and database systems
Ability to assess participant needs, identify barriers, and coordinate referrals to appropriate services and resources
Experience supporting job seekers with resume preparation, interview coaching, or employment readiness activities
Strong scheduling, coordination, and customer service skills, including the ability to manage inbound calls and participant follow-up
Familiarity with supportive housing or related community-based assistance programs is preferred
