We are recruiting a Rental Manager to provide overall leadership and direction in the equipment rental business. As the Rental Manager, you will oversee the sales and operations, ensuring a seamless and successful rental experience. If you have a proven track record of motivating teams, possess in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, and are skilled in managing profit and loss, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibility

  • Prioritize safety while overseeing operational aspects such as yard management, transportation drivers, and rental coordinators
  • Build a strong rapport with employees and customers, fostering a positive and collaborative environment
  • Develop and mentor employees, cultivating their skills and enhancing their performance
  • Manage outside sales representatives, providing guidance and support to maximize sales opportunities
  • Identify emerging rental markets and equipment needs, keeping our business at the forefront of industry trends
  • Prepare and manage budgets, taking responsibility for profit and loss statements and financial planning

Requirements

  • Ability to positively motivate and manage others, creating a high-performing team
  • Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including equipment rental practices and market dynamics
  • Proficiency in profit and loss analysis, financial statements, budgeting, and other financial aspects of the business
  • Exceptional customer relations and communication skills, ensuring outstanding service and satisfaction
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, preferred
  • Previous experience in equipment or rental sales or sales management, preferred

  • Termination of short-term/rolling contracts to be dealt with promptly for subsequent rentals and ensure asset management in terms of identification, location and status
  • Forecast details in regards to rentals on a rolling 3 month basis
  • Annual budget with strong involvement in end of year audit for stock
