Wells Fargo is seeking a Renewable Energy Portfolio Management Associate to join the Renewable Energy and Environmental Financing team supporting the management of Wells Fargo $10-billion renewable tax equity portfolio.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor assigned renewable energy and other clean technology investments by tracking actual performance, forecast future performance, return expectations, structural protections, and stakeholder credit quality
  • Improve investment databases by uploading and updating information on transactions
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal reporting systems
  • Perform research based on identified market, equipment, and credit risks
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and drive them to fruition
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports documenting investment performance
  • Prepare data and reporting in response to assigned amendments and consents
  • Complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance, and business process expectations
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Requirements:

2 + years of Renewable Energy, Environmental Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, business or related field
  • Passion for renewable energy as demonstrated either through education or work experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Independently draft, review, and negotiate all core tax equity and ITC transfer transaction documentation, including partnership LLCAs, purchase agreements, and ITC transfer agreements, and support external counsel in drafting debt and ABS documentation
  • Manage corporate approvals and disclosures related to project financing transactions, including drafting resolutions, operating agreements, and affiliate agreements, and coordinating with executive and board stakeholders for transaction approvals
  • Oversee and direct the legal due diligence process, closely working with other legal and business teams to respond to investor questions, including KYC, corporate, and consumer protection compliance due diligence
  • Advise on the implementation and impact of federal legislation (e.g., Inflation Reduction Act and The One Big Beautiful Bill Act) on project finance transactions, including coordinating closely with external tax counsel and the business to implement such legislation and regulations related to project finance transactions (e.g., transferability, ITC adders, FEOC provisions)
