Our nationally recognized law firm is seeking a highly skilled Trademark Paralegal to join our Intellectual Property practice group. This fully remote position requires working West Coast hours to support attorneys and clients primarily located in California. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in both U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution, with a slightly heavier emphasis on foreign matters. You’ll play a key role in managing global portfolios, coordinating filings, and ensuring exceptional client service.
Job Responsibility
Manage all aspects of U.S. trademark prosecution, including application filings, office action responses, maintenance, and docket management
Oversee foreign trademark prosecution workflows, coordinating with foreign associates and monitoring deadlines
Prepare and file TEAS forms, Madrid Protocol documents, and WIPO submissions
Conduct trademark searches and prepare clearance reports
Maintain and update trademark portfolios using firm-approved docketing systems
Communicate directly with clients, attorneys, and foreign counsel regarding status updates and strategy
Assist with TTAB filings, renewals, and enforcement-related tasks as needed
Track billable time accurately to meet the 1300‑hour annual requirement
Requirements
7+ years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal in a law firm or corporate IP department
Strong knowledge of USPTO, WIPO, and Madrid Protocol procedures
Experience supporting attorneys across multiple time zones, especially Pacific Time
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage high‑volume deadlines
Proficiency with IP docketing systems (e.g., CPI, Foundation IP, Anaqua)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
