Arcfield is looking for a motivated Image Scientist to support image quality analysis of EO remote sensing data and project support to analysis, initialization, product development and user exploitation concerns.

Job Responsibility:

Support image quality analysis of EO remote sensing data and project support to analysis, initialization, product development and user exploitation concerns

Requirements:

  • Must posses and be able to maintain an active TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Image Science, Optics, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering with 5 or more years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with comparable experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform technical analysis of EO remote sensing data
  • image processing and digital signal processing experience
  • image chain analysis
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • demonstrated ability to clearly explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability and success working independently and in team environments
  • Customer focused and capable of representing the customer in user outreach, familiarity activities and community forums
  • Experience developing/modifying engineering code in at least one of Python, MATLAB, ENVI/IDL or similar to solve hard problems and create processes for repeatable results

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Image Science, Optics, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering with 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Project management or leadership experience
  • Experience working on product initialization teams
  • Experience with one or more of PAN, IR, MSI, HSI systems and analysis
  • Experience developing/modifying engineering code in multiple of Python, MATLAB, ENVI/IDL or similar to solve hard problems and create processes for repeatable results
  • Experience in atmospheric correction (MODTRAN) and hyperspectral exploitation toolsets also desired
