Our Client operates across Canada. We are currently pipelining dedicated Patient Support Specialists / Caseworkers for temporary opportunities (with potential for extension and permanent employment). In this remote role, you will work to resolve problems quickly, engage in conversations with a can-do attitude and deep empathy, and ensure that patients come first.
Job Responsibility
Serve as the primary, expert point of contact for patients
Make outbound and take inbound calls with empathy to educate patients on program services, injection training, pharmacy options, and their overall medication journey
Support patients and caregivers with the prompt completion of complex medical/insurance paperwork to ensure they gain access to required specialty medications
Explain prescription coverage clearly and answer questions using provided Q&A templates
Act as a critical liaison between patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, and internal Field Case Managers (FCMs)
Proactively problem-solve obstacles to ensure timely medication access and manage prescription renewals
Triage inquiries and requests from a shared email inbox
Accurately document all interactions in the CRM system
Manage adverse event reporting strictly following program standards
Requirements
2+ years of recent experience (within the last 7 years) in Patient Coordinator, Patient Care Specialist, Patient Medical Coordinator, Pharma Reimbursement or Patient Caseworker
Legal eligibility to work full-time in Canada
Excellent communication skills in English
Bilingualism (English/French) required for Quebec and New Brunswick only
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
Top-notch organizational and prioritization skills
Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working autonomously in a remote environment
Exceptional phone etiquette and active listening skills
No pre-booked vacations in the next 3 months
Comfortable with criminal and credit background checks
Dedicated, quiet workspace and highly stable internet connection
Fully available Monday-Friday between 8 am and 8 pm EST
