We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to play a key role in managing plaintiff-side litigation matters from intake through trial preparation. This is a highly independent position for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional client service. This supports a very busy plaintiffs employment and civil rights practice.
Job Responsibility
Manage litigation calendars and track all case deadlines
Handle discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, and public records requests
Organize and maintain case files, discovery indexes, and litigation documents
Prepare exhibits, pleadings, motion filings, and appellate brief materials
Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel as directed
Assist with trial and hearing preparation, including exhibit binders, witness materials, and deposition exhibits
Conduct preliminary client intakes when needed
Help supervise and support legal administrative staff
Participate in case strategy and status meetings with attorneys
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Paralegal Program
8+ years of litigation paralegal experience (plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred)
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong writing, proofreading, and document formatting abilities
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys
Professional, compassionate approach when working with clients experiencing difficult circumstances
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Clio, Westlaw, and Google Workspace
Completion of an accredited paralegal program
At least 7 years of litigation paralegal experience, with plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to handle discovery, civil litigation support, and trial preparation in a fast-paced legal setting
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple active matters independently
Excellent writing, proofreading, and document formatting skills
Ability to work effectively both autonomously and in collaboration with attorneys and support staff
Detail-oriented and compassionate communication style, especially when assisting clients facing sensitive or difficult circumstances
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Clio, Westlaw, and Google Workspace
