We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join an established law firm in a remote capacity. In this role, you will provide vital support to the firm’s Litigation practice, handling complex cases with domestic and international components. Job Responsibility:
Prepare and file pleadings, motions, exhibits, and other court documents
Conduct thorough legal research and summarize case law and statutes
Manage discovery processes, including document review and organization of electronic case files
Draft and process documents for service and electronic filing in federal jurisdictions using legal systems such as Pacer
Track court deadlines, maintain case calendars, and oversee litigation logistics
Assist in trial preparation, depositions, and hearings to ensure smooth proceedings
Proofread, cite check, and bluebook legal documents for accuracy and compliance
File documents electronically with federal court systems and oversee the tracking of deadlines and process servers
Support summary judgment briefings and ensure proper document management
Coordinate with attorneys on Admiralty, Maritime, and Bankruptcy law cases when applicable
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Paralegal certification is preferred but not mandatory
At least 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw or Lexis
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Excellent proofreading skills to identify grammatical, typographical, and contextual errors
Experience with case management software and electronic filing systems
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Admiralty, Maritime, transportation law, or bankruptcy
