Job Description:

A well-established, carrier-side insurance litigation and coverage firm is seeking a contract-to-hire Remote Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys substantive law & motion work and wants a clear path toward expanded litigation and trial exposure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drafting and arguing law & motion (demurrers, motions to dismiss, summary judgment, coverage motions)
  • Legal research and coverage analysis
  • Preparing coverage opinions and strategy memoranda
  • Supporting litigation strategy on complex insurance matters
  • Greater client interaction (upon conversion)
  • Increased deposition and hearing participation (upon conversion)
  • Trial exposure (upon conversion)

Requirements:

  • Active California Bar license and 3+ years of insurance coverage experience
  • Strong motion drafting skills
  • Excellent legal research and analytical abilities
  • Ability to manage deadlines independently in a fully remote setting

Nice to have:

  • Experience analyzing insurance policies and claim files
  • Trial preparation or courtroom exposure
